Charlotte 49ers Countdown to Kickoff: Presbyterian Pregame Roundtable

bluehose

Let’s get right to it with our pregame roundtable as the Charlotte 49ers prepare to take on the Presbyterian College Blue Hose.  Charlotte enters the day’s action 2-2, while PC is 1-2 on the season following a bye week.  Who do the guys think will win?

Sydney Hunte
Charlotte will need to stop the run and continue to force takeaways if they are to beat the Blue Hose.  Presbyterian is still hurting after a tough loss to Furman and will look to take it out on the Niners, but I think Matt Johnson will return to early-season form and the visitors should take this one. Charlotte 34, PC 13

Sean Lyons
The Charlotte 49ers face another tough task on the road this week as they travel to Clinton, SC to face the Presbyterian Blue Hose. Coming into the season many believed that this would be a victory for the Niners because of Presbyterian’s recent transition to FCS competition. Following the last two weekends, I’m not so certain. I believe that Charlotte’s offense gets itself back on track this week, but the Niners cannot overcome their lack of age once again. PC 27, Charlotte 20

Nick Williamson
Most Charlotte fans have been looking forward to the first close football game for the program and this might be the week for it. The 49ers played pretty well despite the big margin in the loss against JMU last week. Presbyterian lost in a close game in the last game two Saturdays ago against a tough Furman squad. It should be a close game but I think Charlotte will get their first road victory this weekend. Charlotte 23, PC 17

Fletcher Barber
I look for the 49ers to fully bounce back from this two game winning streak and defeat the Blue Hose. I feel the defense will come up big in this game. Charlotte 28, PC 7
