Yes, that was the Brooklyn Nets practicing in the Charlotte 49ers' practice gym

Yes, it’s true.  The NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, fresh off a 95-91 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats last night, are indeed practicing in the Charlotte 49ers’ very own practice gym.  And it’s got Twitter abuzz this afternoon.

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and the boys are on the UNC Charlotte campus getting some work in before heading to the Twin Cities to take on KG’s former team, the Minnesota Timberwolves.  And there have been various sightings.

Some people didn’t believe it…

Some more reaction:

Others tried to sneak in…

Yes, they were, indeed.

We’re thinking the Nets will have to get in as much practice as they can at the SAC.  They’re now 3-8 going into that tilt with the T’Wolves and already, Jason Kidd is taking a little heat in his first year as the team’s head coach.

If they turn it around, a visit to UNC Charlotte may receive a little credit.  (By the way, for the latest Nets coverage, visit our sister site, From Russia With Dunk.)
