Charlotte 49ers basketball: What's your favorite Davidson week memory?

Perhaps no game on the Charlotte 49ers basketball schedule gets more buzz around campus than the Davidson Wildcats. You’ve seen the t-shirts being worn by students, the message board chatter, the insults being hurled from either side. It’s all leading up to the 40th chapter of the rivalry between the large public university in Northwest Charlotte and the small private college just up the freeway tomorrow (a series which the Niners lead, by the way, by a count of 28-11).

From big wins to big-time performances (see: Leemire Goldwire), Niners fans young and old all have a particular memory that they can take from the games past. And there may be more to come tomorrow.

So what is your favorite Charlotte 49ers/Davidson Wildcats memory? Share it with us below in the comment section, tweet us at @PickAxeDigest, or post it to our Facebook wall. We’d love to know.

We’ll see tomorrow if the Hornet’s Nest Trophy will be staying in Halton Arena or headed back up north to Davidson. If you can make it out to the game, get there. If you can’t, be sure to watch (WCCB-TV 18) or listen online (ESPN 730) and follow the action. We’ll be there keeping track of the proceedings so you can follow along right here, too.
